I will admit that the first time I encountered Reiki, I was very skeptical of its cited benefits. However, a friend persuaded me to explore Reiki further, primarily as a form of self-treatment for stress relief. I will be the first to admit that I was in serious danger of burnout at the time.

It is said that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. It sounds corny, but that is how it seemed to me. My first Reiki Master, Jill Thompson, lived in France at the time. She taught a combined form of energy healing, Reiki Seichim, which for personal reasons, was entirely appropriate for me.  My second Reiki Master, April Cook, lives near Cambridge, and is herself one of Jill’s former students. Having been attuned to the Reiki-Seichim energy in the first place, I felt it was important to find a master who appreciated the difference that this meant, at least to me. In June 2006, April performed my attunements to Master level for both Reiki and Seichim.

When it was appropriate that I learned the techniques of Indian Head Massage, I found a teacher whom, at the time, I felt shared my own attitude towards the benefits and place of such therapies.

Having encountered such a level of fulfillment through self-treatment with Reiki-Seichim, it is my sincere wish to make it and Indian Head Massage available to others, such that price should not be a deterrent.

The therapies I offer and my usual charges are listed on the accompanying page (Charges). Both Reiki-Seichim and Indian Head Massage treatments are administered with the client fully clothed.
